I'm mainly a free spirit, exploring and questioning everything, trying to go deep below the surface in my search for Truth, which is a large part of my Spiritual Quest. Having traveled a less traditional path in life, I consider myself rather unique as a result of those experiences.
I'm sensitive, intuitive and respond emotionally to certain music and uplifting movies. Sometimes the tears in my eyes feel unmanly, but more often, I'm grateful for the feeling of connection this comes from. I'm aware that what we think has a lot to do with everything in our life. I'm trying to do more in this area.
I like to Hike & Bike, Sail & Ski, as well as the rest of the usual things. I don't watch much TV but do spend time on my computer researching and studying things. I have a 14 year-old daughter that lives in the same town, but does not live with me. I enjoy philosophical discussions and have lots of questions, and maybe some answers too. In the last few years I've given up on running, and found that Yoga has solved the back problems I used to have. I am grateful that I'm healthy, and an in good shape.
I'm looking for someone that I can share life with in a way that we compliment each other....not own each other. I'm a vegetarian mainly for spiritual/Karmic reasons, but you don't need to be. If you cook dinner, I feel the least I can do is wash the dishes. I open doors for ladies by default, but will generally try to do what is most comfortable for others, even when I get into a playful/goofy mood where I might get carried away.

Before I really thought about it, I was not consciously aware of it; but upon careful reflection I did realize a fact fascinating to me (and, I trust, sensible to you ;-)): the last several women I've been romantically involved with, over nearly this whole last decade, have ALL been either an "80/10/10"-type raw foodist, other raw foodist, vegan, or at least vegetarian. It wasn't because I made any attempts to coerce them; they were already on this type of path, & found my influence assistive in strengthening their values/lifestyle.
Since 2003 my main project has been/is/will continue to be, my successful currency trading business. I have many ambitions beyond that however. The relevant one here is that of a massively fulfilling, enriching life partnership--one of my heart's deepest desires ever since a very young age. This big dream romance of mine is nothing short of frickin' phenomenal. :-) "Truly, madly, deeply," wildly, mind-blowingly romantic, head-over-heals crazy IN LOVE to the Nth degree. LOL A fiery, passionate, mystical, spiritual, magical, cosmic connection. One of my relationships gave me a good taste of this. I will recreate that, but this time take it even further. Whoever I fall deeply in love with, I will bliss-bless beyond her wildest dreams.

Story teller, musician, artist, carpenter, cook, gardener, orchardist, hiker, lover of life, this natural world, and our fellow creatures.
I live on a small acreage at the edge of a small city in southern Oregon. I spend some of each day interacting with the place with carpentry and gardening, depending on the season. There is much other time here for manifestations of creative energy...music, art, Qigong, etc. The setting is an integral part of and beautifully surrounded by nature.
Personal History:
Raised in a small town in southern Oregon. Studied fine arts in college during the era of the war in Vietnam. Refused military service and was ultimately awarded the classification of conscientious objector. Completed my 2 years of alternative service in the Peace Corps in Costa Rica. Traveled a third year in Central and South America. Returned to southern Oregon and, culture shocked, lived three years in backwoods settings. The last two of these years in a small log cabin deep in an ancient native forest (see photos). Grew large gardens, foraged for my food and studied Eastern religions, Native American history and primitive skills. Played lots of music. Practiced yoga. Painted naturescapes (see photos). Returned to civilization and joined with six other friends to open the area's first vegetarian restaurant. Worked for Wilderness preservation. Traveled and lived in Japan and China. Studied Japanese carpentry and Zen. Returned to southern Oregon and began work as a vocational rehabilitation counselor. Eventually became a legal counselor with a private non profit assisting client's of low income in matters of civil law. Loved counseling and problem solving with people to gain perspective on their life and legal situations. Married and later amicably divorced, focusing on raising our son and not our differences. During the years of legal services work I also taught a wilderness hiking class at a local college during spring and fall terms. In 2015 I left the legal work and returned to a small acreage where I have been working on gardening and carpentry projects since. I play piano daily and accordion occasionally. I have also worked periodically with a local vegetarian group that teaches and encourages the lifestyle. I have practiced Zhizeng Qigong daily since leaving the office.
