I get the most fulfillment from simply connecting with other beautiful souls - getting to know and appreciate them without selfish ego agendas. I can say I am a calm, modest and patient man with a caring heart. If I had a "top priority," I would say it is devotion to, and living in alignment with God and infinite Spirit. I do my best to apply what I gain spiritually into spiritual action in daily life in order to bear fruit and bring more love, compassion, peace, virtue and prosperity into this world that desperately needs them.
I have a relaxed, facetious and somewhat solemn way about me, and I am not without my own quirks and flaws which make me human. I believe how we treat ourselves and others - respect, kindness and compassion foremost - is the most important thing in life. I'm a sensitive, gentle man however I can set boundaries and “carry a big stick” when needed. I'm a rebel at heart - I don't watch TV, and I generally do not trust any media, establishment medical "science," modern academia, attorneys/lawyers, religious "authorities," politicians or other government "authorities." Humor is hugely important. I have quite a sarcastic, witty and somewhat dry sense of humor, so I like to be with people who know how to chill out, laugh things off and not take things too seriously.
I intend to live a life focused on charitable works, spirituality, health, athletics and fitness. I am quite athletic and fit, enjoy a variety of sports and activities and love being outdoors in nature. Fresh air and sunshine are essentials. I like to travel, write, make occasional poetry, draw, build things, garden and raise plants as well. I intend to someday have land, rescue animals, grow food and live communally among good, like-minded folks.
I am from Long Island, New York originally, however am currently residing in Wyoming - though not for much longer.

Hello veg friends!
Long time vegan living with a couple rescue guinea pigs in the DMV area. After around twenty years in the IT sector, I am transitioning to law. So I have a job as a paralegal but it's not too demanding and gives me some free time. As an introvert, I've found myself a bit a of a homebody over the past few years. Though I enjoy getting vegan food at various places in the DMV, primarily VA, like Loving Hut, Sunflower, and Chay Vegetarian.
I'm a lefty and will certainly get along with other people who are or lean left. I don't believe that animals are "things" and should have as much rights as people. I was at the march for Sanity, I've seen Colbert live, and willing to go to the occasional protest.
Some video games I'm playing include Final Fantasy 14, Warframe, and Elden Ring. I'm not great, but good enough to do some end game content. Maybe you could introduce me to a game or play with me sometime? It's a nice way to relax a bit.

I like to be active and keep in decent shape; not buff, but not pudgy either… kind of a happy medium! I like to do things outdoors and be active, but I have to admit I can Netflix Binge with the best of them, or spend an entire day moving from couch, to chair, to lawn chair, to bed, and back to the couch reading good a book. I’m pretty middle of the road politically. I used to lean more to the right, but now lean more to the left. I strongly believe in doing what we can to minimize climate change. I spend most of my time in El Paso where i work, but also own a home in Albuquerque where my two of my children live. I visit them every few months. I also have a daughter in Minneapolis and a son in Virginia Beach who I visit once or twice a year. I would love to travel more but work gets in the way. My ‘plan’ is to cut back to 20 hrs/week at age 62 and I’m on track to meet that goal. I’m excited and apprehensive about it at the same time. I sooo want to work less, but I sooo sooo don’t want to be bored. I think going part-time will be a good stepping stone for me, and will give me more time to travel. In the meantime, I’m just enjoying my job and interacting with my clients and co-workers and visiting my kiddos when I can.

Impermanence is a normal part of life; there's no need to lament it.

I became widowed and retired at about the same time. I really did not have a plan or thought about this circumstance I find myself in. I have avoided eating animals for going on 15 years now. When I considered meeting new people, I found that I am not interested in building new friendships or bonding with people that do not share my thoughts and beliefs about plant-based eating. I am nearly 70, so why waste the effort. I have old friends who just think I'm weird, and have known me long enough to be accepting of my quirks, being vegan is just another one. When I thought about dating again, I decided they must be plant-based, vegan or vegetarian. My sweet wife was all of those at different times. What you see is what you get, but you also get so much more than appearances suggest! I am comfortable in my own skin. I know and like who I am. Adventurous but also risk-averse.

Seeking my type of weird. One who can talk about literally anything (I'm an open book). I am looking for a best friend who I also want to curl up in bed with.
I love to travel and be spontaneous. I will try anything at least once and love to learn and see new places or cultures. I built out a van and usually spend two to three months every summer on the road with a couple of my dogs. I have been to every state now and to a few different countries. Last summer, I drove through Canada and made it to Alaska. My favorite part of the trip was taking a detour on my way home to drive to the Arctic Ocean and jumping in the icy waters. Getting there required driving several days on remote dirt roads through Native land without cell reception and I only had access to a couple of gas stations. Reaching the ocean was amazing. Because of how far north it is, it never got dark so I curled up in a blanket along the shore and watched a never-ending sunset until I fell asleep around 3am.
I am a night owl and don't often wake up early unless I must.
In 2012, I started a non-profit animal rescue that I named after one of the first animals I rescued-- a lamb. While my rescue is primarily dogs and cats, I hope to also provide sanctuary to farm animals as well someday. Until I can rescue my own sheep and cows, I work and volunteer for a few ranches/sanctuaries. I don't mind getting dirty. I am not really into fashion or wearing make-up either. I like to be comfortable and I like to stay warm.
I am a busy person, but I make time for the people I care about, and my friends all know I am there if they need me (even if it's early in the morning).
I am looking for someone who loves animals, enjoys conversations about politics and philosophy and is a genuinely caring person. Also, if you like cooking, I love to eat. :) If you live in another state, I would be happy to go visit you the next time I am on the road and, if I have enough of a reason to stay somewhere, I would definitely consider moving.
There's obviously a lot more to a person than what you can type in this box so here's just some of the more random things I love: flying, studying medicine, rock climbing, trees, movies, swimming, painting, concerts, photography, rain, criminology, dancing, potatoes, mud, kayaking, animals, road trips, and being barefoot.

These little moments of beauty bring me great joy and often bring a tear to my eye.

This might seem odd but for fun I collect trash. My kayak often looks more like a garbage scow as I gather plastics and other trash while kayaking on the river and at the beach. I mostly just find trash but I've found some interesting stuff too, including something the bomb squad had to blow up on the spot. I'm still waiting to find either a briefcase full of half a million dollars of drug money no one claims or a chest of pirate's treasure sticking half out of a sandbar.
I love gardening... for wildlife, for food, for beauty, organically, and with native plants.
