I am currently in Washington state, but not glued to my location. Would consider anywhere on the West Coast or possibly out of the country. I would love to convert a school bus into a badass off grid mobile home and travel all over the US and elsewhere. Long and winding road. Rural Texas upbringing. UTAustin, intending to be a physicist, but it was the late sixties and there were lots of distractions going by, many of which were wearing very tiny skirts, so, long story short, a stint in San Francisco and Berkeley as a charter member of the Hippies, and then an extended second act as an engineer running my small SoCal firm until, yippie, retirement. Please tell me I won't be putting "The End" up yet.
I never used tobacco and have not had an ounce of booze since 1971, being careful what I ingest; and I think it not at all incongruous that I am 420 friendly.
I believe that the physical Universe has an associated mentality, and have always felt that spirituality was my vocation, and engineering just my avocation. I believe that all consciousness is One, and had a motto placed on my bank checks stating that "Animals are our equals, there is no Master Race". But I think the established religions are just power freaks wanting an exclusive franchise on something powerful, and the whole New Age thing was too unscientific for me, although I LOVE New Agers, in general, with their fine states of consciousness making their superstitions not a turn off, in spite of their illogic. I have a country home polished over the decades to be just what I want, and, frankly, I stay at home a lot, surrounded by my own forest. Not agoraphobic, no fear of leaving ... but I have been Home, and I have been to numerous other places, and there really is no place like Home.
My favorite activity is singing, and I sing along with satellite radio for hours a day. I have a decent singing voice, and I would love to sing duets with someone every now and then, as we enjoyed our retirement hours. Also, I might mention that my coffee may be better than any other you have ever had ... I roast my own beans from the world's finest varieties and brew a quite unique creation of my own, which I call EspressoSanDiego. So if you take coffee as seriously as some do, I have suddenly gone near the top of your list.
PS please do not let my age deter you ... check my pix, and see what a lifetime of vegetarianism can do for health and appearance. I look quite a bit younger than what you would expect from a guy born in the first half of the 20th Century, and I'm not certain I ever matured emotionally beyond fourteen, or at least that's how old I see myself. Still fourteen.

My Riddle of the Week: What is both unscientific and science-based at the same time? Answer: "Nescience" (ignorance) — it's based on "science"!
Strive to live a simple, nonmaterialistic, meaningful, and purposeful life. I'm a Luddite at heart, reminiscing about the halcyon days when we weren't overdependent on technology. I embrace sechel, not artificial intelligence, and modesty, not social media. 不患莫己知，求为可知也。"Don't fret about not being well-known; instead, strive to be worthy of being known" (Analects, book 4, verse 14). Jewish ideals inform and guide in all aspects of life. These include honesty and evenhandedness, including not saying anything essentially true but meant to mislead, as by controlling the narrative (e.g., in PR, marketing/sales, the media); not hurting people's feelings or saying negative things about them; giving others the benefit of the doubt and the opportunity to do the right thing; having a higher purpose in life, including work; and learning for the sake of learning, including from everyone! But people with similar values come from many paths in life, the ultimate expression of which is being a mensch or, as Confucius termed it, a junzi, someone who sets an example through his or her actions, which speak louder than words.
Enjoy hiking, being in nature, lizard-watching, learning, artistic creativity, and dry and waggish humor (but not sarcasm). Introverted and sometimes lost in thought, but hopefully thoughtful in more ways than one! Look for ways to help others while avoiding self-serving feelings like validation and pride. Adventurous but also risk-averse.
I live in the desert, which teaches humility, not only because we are dwarfed by the majestic mountains and the expansive valleys but also because we are humbled by the miraculous, mind-blowing adaptations that allow life in all its forms to not merely survive but thrive in the most challenging of environments. Hobbies include daily exercise (with full body resistance training every other day), consuming content from NPR (especially via KQED Radio) and the PBS Newshour, and pursuing opportunities to help better myself or support the world around me :). Other than that, though, I'm very open to new experiences or activities, too.
Native English speaker and somewhat proficient in Spanish. I'm always up for learning more languages, especially if it helps me communicate with you or your loved ones better.
I was formerly pre-health (medical/dental) and then switched to project management because it has allowed me to continue working with and spending time with my family.
Twenty years from now, when those family opportunities are less prevalent, I'll probably look to go back to school (ideally to study something to help reduce animal and/or environmental exploitation, although hopefully humans are no longer doing that 20 years from now :p) or look into more lucrative professional options (and donate any earnings beyond what I would hope to remain a fairly frugal lifestyle to high-impact charities promoting animal welfare.)
Those plans are definitely flexible, however, especially if that flexibility would help me to better support the happiness of a wonderful vegan partner :)

I spend a lot of time outdoors. I kayak, hike, bike, birdwatch, and love meeting all my wild neighbors. The year before Covid I also started taking surfing lessons.
I write and advocate for causes I care about and have had some successes. The circus no longer comes to my town, there's a beautiful preserved forest that does NOT have a cell phone tower, there's a large city park where ALL smoking is banned.....
My favorite issues are environmental, animal rights, and those concerning poverty and human rights. I think in another life I must have been a peasant in a peasant uprising.
This might seem odd but for fun I collect trash. My kayak often looks more like a garbage scow as I gather plastics and other trash while kayaking on the river and at the beach. I mostly just find trash but I've found some interesting stuff too, including something the bomb squad had to blow up on the spot. I'm still waiting to find either a briefcase full of half a million dollars of drug money no one claims or a chest of pirate's treasure sticking half out of a sandbar.
I love gardening... for wildlife, for food, for beauty, organically, and with native plants.
