I became widowed and retired at about the same time. I really did not have a plan or thought about this circumstance I find myself in. I have avoided eating animals for going on 15 years now. When I considered meeting new people, I found that I am not interested in building new friendships or bonding with people that do not share my thoughts and beliefs about plant-based eating. I am nearly 70, so why waste the effort. I have old friends who just think I'm weird, and have known me long enough to be accepting of my quirks, being vegan is just another one. When I thought about dating again, I decided they must be plant-based, vegan or vegetarian. My sweet wife was all of those at different times. Hoping to visit friends a catching up in the Southern States, it has been a few years since i saw them last....better in person! this Fall 2019 ifal goes to plan, just short visits. While here in the UK, when ever i can get away for the weekend, Oxfordshire my old stomping ground, canal walks a must i do this when i can, train makes this trip easy to get to. Not driving at the moment! I would be doing longer distant trips places that are on my bucket list, Yorkshire Dales, Highlands - Scotland....mabe just all of it!! Waite a minute, maybe i should wait until i get more work hours!!! I work for a Care company part time at the moment and also a house sitter.
