I get the most fulfillment from simply connecting with other beautiful souls - getting to know and appreciate them without selfish ego agendas. I don't like describing myself, however I can say I am a calm, modest and patient man with a caring heart. If I had a "top priority," I would say it is devotion to, and living in alignment with God and Spirit. I do my best to apply what I gain spiritually into spiritual action in daily life in order to bear fruit and bring more love, compassion, peace and prosperity into this world that desperately needs them.
I have a relaxed, facetious, sarcastic and somewhat solemn way about me, and I am not without my own quirks and flaws which make me human. I believe how we treat ourselves and others - respect, kindness and compassion foremost - is the most important thing in life. I'm a gentle man however I can set boundaries and “carry a big stick” when necessary. I'm a rebel at heart - I don't watch TV, and I generally do not trust any media, medical "science," academia, attorneys, religious "authorities," politicians or other government "authorities." Humor is hugely important. I have quite a sarcastic, witty and somewhat dry sense of humor, so I like to be with people who know how to chill out, laugh things off and not take things too seriously.
I intend to live a life focused on charitable works, spirituality, health, athletics and fitness. I am quite athletic and fit, enjoy a variety of sports and activities and love being outdoors in nature. Fresh air and sunshine are essentials. I like to write, make occasional poetry, draw, garden and raise plants as well. I wish to someday have land, rescue animals, grow food and live communally among good, like-minded folks.

Hello veg friends!
Long time vegan living with a couple rescue guinea pigs in the DMV area. After around twenty years in the IT sector, I am transitioning to law. So I have a job as a paralegal but it's not too demanding and gives me some free time. As an introvert, I've found myself a bit a of a homebody over the past few years. Though I enjoy getting vegan food at various places in the DMV, primarily VA, like Loving Hut, Sunflower, and Chay Vegetarian.
I'm a lefty and will certainly get along with other people who are or lean left. I don't believe that animals are "things" and should have as much rights as people. I was at the march for Sanity, I've seen Colbert live, and willing to go to the occasional protest.
Some video games I'm playing include Final Fantasy 14, Warframe, and Elden Ring. I'm not great, but good enough to do some end game content. Maybe you could introduce me to a game or play with me sometime? It's a nice way to relax a bit.

I have been vegan since September 2008 (vegetarian about a year and a half before switching). I have worked helping animals for the past 13+ years. I started as an adoption counselor at a humane society in Ohio, than a dog caregiver at a large sanctuary in Utah, and for over 8 years I was a caregiver for farm animals at a sanctuary. I spend a lot of time outdoors. I kayak, hike, bike, birdwatch, and love meeting all my wild neighbors. The year before Covid I also started taking surfing lessons.
I write and advocate for causes I care about and have had some successes. The circus no longer comes to my town, there's a beautiful preserved forest that does NOT have a cell phone tower, there's a large city park where ALL smoking is banned.....
My favorite issues are environmental, animal rights, and those concerning poverty and human rights. I think in another life I must have been a peasant in a peasant uprising.
This might seem odd but for fun I collect trash. My kayak often looks more like a garbage scow as I gather plastics and other trash while kayaking on the river and at the beach. I mostly just find trash but I've found some interesting stuff too, including something the bomb squad had to blow up on the spot. I'm still waiting to find either a briefcase full of half a million dollars of drug money no one claims or a chest of pirate's treasure sticking half out of a sandbar.
I love gardening... for wildlife, for food, for beauty, organically, and with native plants.
I enjoy a variety of things and am always eager to learn new ones. I'm open to suggestions.....
