An Old-School Romantic, looking for my lady love. A lifetime of vegetarianism plus my family's unusual longevity enable me to look and act much younger than my age, and if you listened to an .mp3 recording of my singing, you would immediately know the nature of my Heart better than a half dozen dates would impart. So with these July, 2026, pix and if I can send a song, you should know right away whether I might be appealing or just another dud.
Biography: A long and winding road. .Rural Texas upbringing. UTAustin, intending to be a physicist, but it was the late sixties and there were lots of distractions going by, many of which were wearing very tiny skirts, so, long story short, a stint in San Francisco and Berkeley as a charter member of the Hippies, and then an extended second act as an engineer running my small SoCal firm until, yippie, retirement. Please tell me I won't be putting "The End" up yet.
I believe that the physical Universe has an associated mentality, and have always felt that spirituality was my vocation, and engineering just my avocation. I believe that all consciousness is One, and had a motto placed on my bank checks stating that "Animals are our equals, there is no Master Race". But I think the established religions are just power freaks wanting an exclusive franchise on something powerful, and the whole New Age thing was too unscientific for me, although I LOVE New Agers, in general, with their fine states of consciousness making their superstitions not a turn off, in spite of their illogic. I have a country home polished over the decades to be just what I want, and, frankly, I stay at home a lot, surrounded by my own forest. Not agoraphobic, no fear of leaving ... but I have been Home, and I have been to numerous other places, and there really is no place like Home.
My favorite activity is singing. I recorded 15 songs onto a CD, as a Bucket List item. ... Oh, and I roast my own beans from the world's finest varieties and brew a quite unique creation of my own, which I call EspressoSanDiego. So if you take coffee as seriously as some do, I may have suddenly gone near the top of your list.
PS please do not let my age deter you ... I look quite a bit younger than what you would expect from a guy born in the first half of the 20th Century, and I'm not certain I ever matured emotionally beyond fourteen, or at least that's how old I see myself. Still fourteen.

Because he was such a kind person!
Many say that for every effect, there's a cause.
Perhaps his early passing was due to this causal relationship.
I understand very well how the law of attraction works.
When you're happy,
The vibration you emit attracts things related to happiness.
When you're sad, you attract similar things that make you sad.
When you're angry, you attract similar things that make you angry.
... and so on.
So, to have a fulfilling life, the vibration you emit is crucial!
You can be sad, but don't let it persist for too long.
Learn how to transform sadness into strength.
When you're feeling down, realize that
Most people don't know how to control their emotions.
If you could handle it with a relaxed attitude, they wouldn't affect you.
Impermanence is a normal part of life; there's no need to lament it.
The important thing is to accept impermanence and strive to do what you love.
It will make you want to live a more meaningful, fulfilling, and joyful life!

Enjoy hiking, being in nature, lizard-watching, learning, artistic creativity, and dry and waggish humor (but not sarcasm). Introverted and sometimes lost in thought, but hopefully thoughtful in more ways than one! Look for ways to help others while avoiding self-serving feelings like validation and pride. Adventurous but also risk-averse.

I like being a nurse because I continually LEARN, and there are many opportunities to assist others to learn (when they want to, that is!).
I've been relatively adventurous in my life, starting with childhood, growing up with an adventurous parent! Then, in teenage-hood, I took some solo bicycle adventures. Well-rounded, eclectic and baggage-free describes me well. At any point I have several projects on the go requiring a wide range of skills and aptitudes. I was originally, and still am, qualified as an accountant although, apart from a pro-bono audit of a little Buddhist charity every year, I have not regularly done any accounting for quite some time.
The daily yoga and meditation I practise and everything else I do are spontaneously guided and effortless. Yoga has given me a strong and supple body with a spirit to match that belie my age.
Friends sometimes describe me as slightly eccentric which is taken as a compliment....but I'm not sure that's entirely correct. Certainly I'm healthily unpredictable, acutely intuitive, sometimes non-conformist in a conservative way and a little Machiavellian. On balance I'm probably intellectual with a dry philosophical sense of humour that is never at anyone else's expense. I can be chatty and cheerful while at other times intense and focused.
I prefer intimate one-on-one situations and steer clear of noisy places and crowds. Simple pursuits are more to my liking. I am dedicated to the people around me including allowing them space where space is needed.
I've described myself as a non-drinker as one alcoholic drink per month is about the limit of my enjoyment in that regard....call that what you will.

I spend a lot of my time improving my garden when not out and about. It's a tranquil retreat with plenty of fruit trees, garden beds, and a hydroponic tower. There is also a tea house, a flowing stream, and plenty of seating areas.
I am passionate about promoting a plant-strong lifestyle through writing, hosting pot lucks, and networking. I discovered this way of eating in 2012, and it has given me a new lease on my health. I believe strongly that our society needs to move in that direction if we are to cure our chronic diseases, protect our environment, and reduce animal suffering.

I have been a vegetarian since 18 years old, vegan for last 12 years.

Been around the block a bit, as they say, but still very fit & young-at-heart! Most people assume I'm 50ish! Retired now, but not ready for the "pipe & slippers" just yet! I was a professional salesman for most of my working life, combined with a semi-pro occupation as a drummer at weekends. More recently, I got into photography (properly) and did weddings & portraits mainly (work featured on ITV & some big-name Companies). Not "tall dark & handsome" (sorry!) but I make up for it by being happy, loving, attentive and spontaneous. I'm not a control freak, I'm easy-going and liberal-minded. I still enjoy going to live music gigs and concerts. Exploring new places. I support many animal welfare charities and am concerned about the environment too. I have a quite mixed background. 100% italian origins but was born and bred in Venezuela till I was 23 years old, so that definately added some caribbean personality on my mediterranean upbringing. I don't mind spending some time in the kitchen… but it’s more fun cooking with a friend! I love trying out new recipes, but a few favorites include: hoisin-mustard tofu lettuce wraps, tofu bahn mi, sweet potato and black bean enchiladas, zucchini malai kofta, roasted Brussels sprouts, and I make a mean tofu scramble. My current obsession is Indian food. I don't love doing the dishes. :p
Recently I've discovered the joy of living minimalisticly. I've learned that letting go of things that no longer serve me leads to serenity.
I'm a small business owner and I LOVE my profession. It makes me INCREDIBLY HAPPY... but sometimes (mostly seasonally) I work insanely long hours, and I need someone who is understanding of this. I don't see myself relocating my business.
Life is good. :) I have small close group of lifelong friends that are my chosen family. Several of them are vegan who also love to cook, so our gatherings always include lots of vegan food. Together we often enjoy board games, card games, escape rooms, bocce, and campfires.
A few of years ago I met a small group of compassionate people through a mindfulness based meditation group. Together we started a small community giving-garden. It's a project that is close to my heart, and I donate time there at least once a week sometimes more. I love getting my hands in the dirt, learning about gardening, and donating the fruits of our labor to feed the hungry.
