  8.  shear37   Mmm, pie! I veganized several old family pie recipes and used healthier ingredients. I've made peach, apple, pumpkin, and shoo-fly (from a very old Pennsylvania Dutch recipe).

Though I prefer not eating cooked fruits thus destroying the nutrients, a good pie once in awhile is certainly a good answer to the meaning of life, the universe, and everything... if not the correct one.

So if you're ever hitchhiking around the galaxy and you stop for a bite to eat at the restaurant at the end of the universe order a slice of pie just before the end. I recommend the shoo-fly.

Gotta love those old BBC TV series.

  11.  dragonfly422   I don't get the shoo-fly reference, but I know that I have major gaps in my H2G2 knowledge. I love that mini-series, and I like the movie.

  13.  shear37   Shoo-fly pie is an old Pennsylvania Dutch pie made with lots of molasses. It's well known in this area though not often found beyond. I can't say for sure the Restaurant At The End Of The Universe will have it on the menu but it can't hurt to ask for a slice. It is The End after all so might as well.
