TzimchoniThe offensive nature of the American Thanksgiving holiday is not so much that it has morphed into a day of gluttony centering on the eating of a certain animal (which had nothing to do with the original holiday) but rather the pervasive practice of demeaning the animal and making light of its plight (not to mention its being subjected to the current political tool known as a presidential pardon, even though it did nothing wrong in the first place)!
