I am a creative person, trying (belatedly!) to pursue an art career having previously worked in communications for the Vegetarian Society and a Community Forest. I have a happy and lucky life. I am lucky to have many great supportive friends. People generally describe me as nerdy, hippy, intelligent, athletic, competitive, kind and outgoing. I think of myself as shy with the ability to be outgoing. I appreciate calmness and being able to relax. I love yoga and mediation. I smile a lot. I enjoy spending hours in coffee shops reading. I rarely watch television. I am a romantic who sees beauty everywhere in the world such as in music, art, nature, the way a friend smiles or simply seeing two people in love. These little moments of beauty bring me great joy and often bring a tear to my eye.
The most important aspect of my life are my friends and how I treat other people. I believe the key to happiness is how we treat other people.
I would like to think I am patient, understanding, non-judgmental, caring, honest, a good communicator and loving. I just ended a long term relationship. I was a social worker for nearly 20 years. I’ve always worked with children. I have a strong sense of wanting to help others. I’m currently working in children’s mental health. Despite it being a very full on job, which I absolutely love, I can switch off in the evening.
I have a strong sense of right and wrong and I do my own research. I’ve known for a long time that what we’re told about government, big pharma and multi conglomerate corporations isn’t the truth. Happy Vegan taking care of 3 dogs whom I rescued and love so much. I also will stop the car if I see a lost dog. Bring him home..bathe him...feed him...make fliers...try to find his guardians. I also match up people who post on craigslist that they lost a dog and another person post the same picture of a dog they found. I love when that happens...of course I have a list of questions and offer recommendations so this does not happen again. Wait here's the thing--if there is a lost dog in my neighborhood...well many times I will just open the front door and there he will be. Dogs just know that my house is where they will find safety and love.
like to stay in more than go out...but once out I'm happy. Dancing is one of my favorite activities and raising global consciousness is amazing.

I get the most fulfillment from simply connecting with other beautiful souls - getting to know and appreciate them without selfish ego agendas. Hello veg friends!
Long time vegan living with a couple rescue guinea pigs in the DMV area. After around twenty years in the IT sector, I am transitioning to law. So I have a job as a paralegal but it's not too demanding and gives me some free time. As an introvert, I've found myself a bit a of a homebody over the past few years. Though I enjoy getting vegan food at various places in the DMV, primarily VA, like Loving Hut, Sunflower, and Chay Vegetarian.
I'm a lefty and will certainly get along with other people who are or lean left. I don't believe that animals are "things" and should have as much rights as people. I was at the march for Sanity, I've seen Colbert live, and willing to go to the occasional protest.
Some video games I'm playing include Final Fantasy 14, Warframe, and Elden Ring. I'm not great, but good enough to do some end game content. Maybe you could introduce me to a game or play with me sometime? It's a nice way to relax a bit.
