My favorite vgetarian dishes include black beans with sweet potatoes, lentil soup, rice, wheat berries, carrots. Although I am primarily a vegetarian, my chicken dishes include yogurt chicken and orange juice chicken. My mantra: Keep it simple! What about your own cooking? Do you learn new recipes or just stick with the tried-and-true ones?
My passions include Spanish and classical music although I appreciate the craft (and other things) in other genres.

If you talk about "spiritual, not religious," what does it mean to you? Well , spiritual to me . . . I guess that means a whole host of things. If it means sensitive to others or empathic with others, I make that attempt, again and again. And I feel it coming from others, sometimes clear out of the blue, like the woman at the grocery store seeing me with two items and saying, "Sir, you can go ahead of us." To me, "spiritual" would include mindfulness of nature's beauty, awareness of each person's uniqueness, and true respect for that individuality.

Most of my time is focused on work as an educator and taking care of my adult daughters who are disabled. I am a pretty odd duck, I can be the sweetest person you have ever met, but I also have a lot of sass at times and prefer to spend time with those who match my energy and don't drain it. My theology is most aligned with Buddhism, although I identify as agnostic. I have a strong need to learn new things and love having conversations about the metaphysical and unusual. I work in a high school teaching textiles which I enjoy but it can be challenging some of the time. I'm not one for clubbing and would much prefer going out for a meal and an odd drink or staying in with candles lit, watching a dvd or listening to music, curled up on the sofa with the open fire blazing giving off a warm glow.

I have a quite mixed background. 100% italian origins but was born and bred in Venezuela till I was 23 years old, so that definately added some caribbean personality on my mediterranean upbringing. Living in England has given me lots of learning and actually it's so vegan friendly that I would happily call it HOME. Spent a few years in Paris and Barcelona but now I'm back in the UK. I speak spanish, italian, english and french. I am a deep soul with a playful spirit.

I work in the film industry, at times w/ the camera,

I am a down to earth person, who in the space of a day, ( or maybe two days haha

could sand and varnish my boat, bicycle for a coffee, get a pedicure,
and make dinner for my friends.

I am from the east coast ( New England) and really love California ( been here 20 yrs).

curiosity takes me.

I've sailed down the coast to Mexico, made wine in my kitchen w/ grapes I picked,
did yoga in India, photographed the Great Wall. Phew-- did I cover the bucket list yet LOL....
And yet all that seems easy and almost frivolous compared to just sitting still after a day w/ my child,
or relaxing just listening to the waves.....

Currently self employed craftsman, spent 10 years or so in the music biz. Much travelled, Europe, Asia & States, on own account as well as work, but that was a long time ago. I think I am reasonably socially aware, I have done some community work here & there, particularly with the travelling community. Not very political, a plague on all their houses at the moment, tended towards the left/liberal or anarchist. Green leaning but a motorhead I am afraid, enjoy & use pre-war cars. Have had quite a roller coaster life. Long time marriage went away a few years ago. I hope I am steady, loyal & honest, at least I do try, might have to admit to being a tad eccentric! Don't have a TV, don't go clubbing, I enjoy my music, (rock, blues, folk, world, techno, radio3 Late Junction, etc).
