I should also mention that as a vegan for the animals , I also have pets, just in case someone is allergic or is opposed to living with animals as some vegans are for their health and not for the animals. I have 2 rescued dogs and 3 cats , but they have more than enough room to live in, get air , sunshine and they are spoiled too !
i am an atheist, realistic , have strong opinions and prefer to address issues to get it out of my mind, i am as transparent as possible, I will do better with an ethical vegan, atheist, hippie, activist, I like tattoos but don't have any lol, I am not spiritual either so alI the stuff about,if you think negative you attract bad luck, bad karma etc, not my thing either !
I prefer to simplify, but life is not always simple, so some things are hard to simplify, I get it;
I would say, for my age, I am in pretty good shape which works for me! I am not into adrenaline causing activities or into a lot of traveling either, and with the pets I prefer to be near home or do road trips, air B /B type of going away etc. hippie music festivals outside, veggie fests, etc. to sum it up : I am a very content person, and would like to add a partner to my already pleasant life if there is a lot of trust and sparks.

I became widowed and retired at about the same time. I really did not have a plan or thought about this circumstance I find myself in. I have avoided eating animals for going on 15 years now. When I considered meeting new people, I found that I am not interested in building new friendships or bonding with people that do not share my thoughts and beliefs about plant-based eating. I am nearly 70, so why waste the effort. I have old friends who just think I'm weird, and have known me long enough to be accepting of my quirks, being vegan is just another one. When I thought about dating again, I decided they must be plant-based, vegan or vegetarian. My sweet wife was all of those at different times. I would describe myself as optimistic and have been known to say that my glass is ¾ full. I enjoyed my career and worked hard, but I always tried to take time for the fun things in life as I believe a healthy balance between work and play is very important. In my free time I enjoy golf, water-skiing, kayaking, walking through the forest, relaxing in my hammock, or reading a good book by the fire. I love to travel and have been fortunate enough to see some awesome places. Visiting the Arctic was an amazing experience, as was Africa and Australia to name a few. Well-rounded, eclectic and baggage-free describes me well. At any point I have several projects on the go requiring a wide range of skills and aptitudes. I was originally, and still am, qualified as an accountant although, apart from a pro-bono audit of a little Buddhist charity every year, I have not regularly done any accounting for quite some time.
The daily yoga and meditation I practise and everything else I do are spontaneously guided and effortless. Yoga has given me a strong and supple body with a spirit to match that belie my age.
Friends sometimes describe me as slightly eccentric which is taken as a compliment....but I'm not sure that's entirely correct. Certainly I'm healthily unpredictable, acutely intuitive, sometimes non-conformist in a conservative way and a little Machiavellian. On balance I'm probably intellectual with a dry philosophical sense of humour that is never at anyone else's expense. I can be chatty and cheerful while at other times intense and focused.
I prefer intimate one-on-one situations and steer clear of noisy places and crowds. Simple pursuits are more to my liking. I am dedicated to the people around me including allowing them space where space is needed.
I've described myself as a non-drinker as one alcoholic drink per month is about the limit of my enjoyment in that regard....call that what you will.
My style is relaxed and informal and my timeless spirit always shines through. Compliments from women about my eyes and my smile are not uncommon.
