I really enjoy being in nature, quite literally - barefoot hiking, swimming, exploring off the beaten trail. I have been known to crawl through brush and bracken to find that secret grove, beautiful waterfall, or epic view. I value the experience of life in all its diversity and strive to live in harmony. Kindness, patience, and tolerance are important to me as is adventure and family.
My home is off grid on the slopes of Mauna Kea overlooking the vast Pacific Ocean. I share a beautiful farm with 4 of my 5 children, my mother, and about 100 animals of all types. We have orchards, gardens, and pastures. I love and cherish my home and family - animals included and am grateful everyday to wake up the song of birds and the rustle of trees. It is a special place that I would love to share with the right person whose dreams align with mine.
Travel and adventure is also important to me. The farm and family is a lot of responsibility, so it is important to take the time to enjoy the freedom of exploration. I try to travel at least 3-4 weeks out of the year off island and also enjoy little mini vacations on island (staycations) where I typically camp.I even enjoy mentally traveling and am learning how to journey in the more shamanic traditions.
I am fascinated by spirituality, consciousness, and the body and how these interrelate with reality and the universe. These are some of my favorite topics and musings. I do not enjoy politics or current events much but history(herstory also) and storytelling in general is super enlightening.

Finding a vegetarian is very hard but extremely important to me. Not just because killing animals is wrong, but because it is alot of who I am. I am one of those wierdos who will order his shoes and belts online, who will buy only products not tested on animals, try to buy organic/eco friendly products etc., I also volunteer at an animal shelter, etc.
I also know I will have a hard time finding that vegetarian soulmate because I am also off the beaten path in other ways as well: I am an acupuncturist and herbalist, take lots of supplements, have lots of candles, burn essential oils, gave up my better paying job to be poor but actually love my profession, still go see live music often, would rather camp in the middle of no where than be in a 4 star hotel, would rather be in my canoe or kayak than on my skis, so far left I would not even call myself a Democrat, watch political shows since people's lives depend on it, go to protests, go to poetry readings, spiritual rather than religous, never raise my voice, yet I am still sarcastic and love playing practical jokes, like to communicate since it is the key to a successful relationship, have more female friends than males, like independent films rather than blockbusters, from the the big city life of the east coast but hope to one day live in a mountain town, would prefer a glass of wine than a coors lite, would rather cook something I have never cooked before to test it out, etc. etc. etc.
I am also a huge live music fan, I go see jambands and bluegrass mostly.

Currently, I live in Georgia (the country) - not Germany - as shown in my profile. But people in Georgia don't use this site and German is my native language.
My spiritual journey is quite young - maybe 2-3 years. I consider myself spiritual to a degree, but not esoteric.
In the past, certain things had kept me in negative thinking loops. My suffering was overwhelming, but I needed it to wake up and turn things around.
My boring everyday job is not spiritual at all, but it gives me some kind of freedom (location-wise, even though not all countries would be possible for me). And I can be a bit of a workaholic as I want to move forward in life.
I'm slowly transitioning into something else to free up more time and explore this spiritual path on a deeper level.
I love mindfulness, meditation, analyzing my thoughts, Eckhart Tolle, etc...
Admittedly, I often don't take the time to meditate. I'm working on changing that soon.
I don't enjoy going out much, I enjoy the simple things in life instead. Like working out, sports, being in nature, listening to audiobooks, reading, watching movies every now and then, etc.
But unfortunately when I'm on my own, I don't do these things enough as I tend to just work a lot instead. Sharing these things just makes it so much more fun.
I feel that reading these online profiles...it usually only highlights the good stuff. And I guess mine does too. I realize this can create a false impression sometimes and even a sense of distance.
Of course I also struggle with things - just like everyone. I'm working on improving certain parts of my life. It's not always easy, but I'm trying.
Planning to move to a tropical country, very likely in Asia. Join me? :)

Financially very comfortable (Being the Senior electronic engineer for a Japanese multinational and having thus far avoided being done over in a divorce court) and, being determined to deny that money to the state when I die, very fond of Toys (Little Boys never grow up - Our toys just get bigger and more expensive - Unto thyself be true, right??)
I am horrified at the state of the West and trust none of the puppets that have seized the helm and are steering all the ships of state onto the rocks.
I am collecting various Residencies & Passports and little parcels of land because I don't like the way things are going so who knows; if you are not right down the road from me, you might be in one of the countries where I have already planted a flag :-)
As you can probably tell, I am not in any conceivable way:
"Woke" , "Inclusive" , "An Ally" , "Socialist" * or "Soy Consuming"

I grew up in the laid back surroundings of a healing mountain and its closest town, in Greece. My parents’ big farm was 35 km far from my home town.
My dream was to study psychology. There was no psychology department at the Greek universities at that time. My dream was bigger than the Greek reality.
Soon, Divine Grace interfered and I left Greece and I flew to Canada to study Psychology. Creative inspiration flowed, and after majoring in psychology in Montreal, I flew off to Paris to get acquainted with Psychoanalysis. With the French language, and culture, the French writers and the French art, museums, galleries, music, refinement, subtle food! The energy and pace was addictive, the art scene quite inspiring, and the weather was not! (better than Canada though)

After seven years of working in Paris i was invited in Greece to teach psychology at the University. Along with teaching psychology I started studying the philosophy of yoga. Traveling around the world, especially in India, in the Himalayas, the last ten years, experiencing different cultures, teaching a lot of retreats, seminars, and workshops of yoga, and offering self-growth and facilitation work for diversity issues has been an important part of my life path. I’ve written some books and just finished writing a book on yoga and spirituality.
Different settings, heterogeneous languages, diverse countries, various therapeutic approaches, many teachers have contributed to the creation of my approach: Auroyoga. An integration of my inner guidance, professional training in psychology, philosophy and education, personal experience and research in spiritual approaches to yoga, self growth and spiritual awakening, expression of my creativity through writing, conscious living, healthy raw vegan nutrition and heart connection with my Teacher. I have a long time interest in the unfolding dialogue between Western scientific approaches and Eastern yogic practices. Being trained extensively in both scientific and spiritual practices I feel blessed and grateful to be able to make the synthesis. Of the East with the West, the North with the South, the scientific with the spiritual, the Cosmic with the individual.
