Life is so much richer sharing experiences with that special someone than being alone. I like to go cycling , traveling, work out, want to get back into some kind of hobby, the usual that most people like to do. I am turned off by people who don't care about what is going on in the world or who can't carry on an in depth conversation about political, ecological, or moral issues. I am more into natural medicine, in case I need it, which is rare for me, I am very honest, upfront, productive, efficient, satisfied with my small accomplishments in life, I am kind, altruistic, compassionate, I enjoy normal stuff as in: dancing, music, love blues, no specific artists, just the deep vibe of it, I like the beach, exercising, walking, gardening, hands in dirt, watching bees, birds, other creatures, showers outside with nature, hiking etc. in general i am a very hands on person, bored does exist in my dictionary , so much stuff to do ! I should also mention that as a vegan for the animals , I also have pets, just in case someone is allergic or is opposed to living with animals as some vegans are for their health and not for the animals. I have 2 rescued dogs and 3 cats , but they have more than enough room to live in, get air , sunshine and they are spoiled too !
i am an atheist, realistic , have strong opinions and prefer to address issues to get it out of my mind, i am as transparent as possible, I will do better with an ethical vegan, atheist, hippie, activist, I like tattoos but don't have any lol, I am not spiritual either so alI the stuff about,if you think negative you attract bad luck, bad karma etc, not my thing either !
I prefer to simplify, but life is not always simple, so some things are hard to simplify, I get it;
I would say, for my age, I am in pretty good shape which works for me! I am not into adrenaline causing activities or into a lot of traveling either, and with the pets I prefer to be near home or do road trips, air B /B type of going away etc. hippie music festivals outside, veggie fests, etc. to sum it up : I am a very content person, and would like to add a partner to my already pleasant life if there is a lot of trust and sparks.

My belief system is very simple: I believe in the Creator and I am very spiritual and nature conscious. I'm trying to lead a relatively simple, uncluttered, rewarding life, with an emphasis on striving for personal growth, doing no harm, and making the world a better place. I've been an ethical vegan for 10 years now, and there's no turning back on that. It's the best decision I've ever made.
I highly value compassion, honesty, integrity, and creativity. Things I particularly love include the outdoors, animals, and culture.
I work for a large nonprofit dedicated to animal welfare. My job is fairly intense, and when I'm not working, I like to enjoy my time in the outdoors (hiking, cycling, watching birds, etc.) or watching films, listening to music, playing standards on my electric piano, or reading.
I love to travel, too, (at least I did before the pandemic) and have been to Europe (many times), Costa Rica, Thailand, Japan, and Hawaii. I am not at all religious, but I have a longstanding interest in Buddhism as both philosophy and practice.
One of my nephews recently wrote this to me: "Values really should drive our actions in life, and you have been far more active in implementing that philosophy than anyone else I have met."

I spend a lot of time outdoors. I kayak, hike, bike, birdwatch, and love meeting all my wild neighbors. The year before Covid I also started taking surfing lessons.
I write and advocate for causes I care about and have had some successes. The circus no longer comes to my town, there's a beautiful preserved forest that does NOT have a cell phone tower, there's a large city park where ALL smoking is banned.....
My favorite issues are environmental, animal rights, and those concerning poverty and human rights. I think in another life I must have been a peasant in a peasant uprising.
This might seem odd but for fun I collect trash. My kayak often looks more like a garbage scow as I gather plastics and other trash while kayaking on the river and at the beach. I mostly just find trash but I've found some interesting stuff too, including something the bomb squad had to blow up on the spot. I'm still waiting to find either a briefcase full of half a million dollars of drug money no one claims or a chest of pirate's treasure sticking half out of a sandbar.
I love gardening... for wildlife, for food, for beauty, organically, and with native plants.
I enjoy a variety of things and am always eager to learn new ones. I'm open to suggestions.....
