I believe in equality in relationships and like giving and sharing. I'm very romantic at times and feel skill in communication is a basic key for a happy, sustainable couple. I'm politically/eco minded and love being involved: volunteering, writing, peaceful assembling. I lived in Thailand for two years and can speak Thai, and found being outside the empire refreshing. Altogether, I was a monk for several years and try to keep up a practice of meditation and live a loving life. Traveling to meet other cultures and communing with nature are favorites. Working out in a gym, biking, hiking, giving/receiving massage, natural health therapies, a little yoga; for fun and to honor the temple. Anything positive that would strengthen the relationship with a loved one. Love film, art, photography, music, reading, snuggling, bicycling, always looking for a kayaking partner?!?!. A long-time history of political/environmental/peace/social justice activism. Am kind, compassionate, open-minded, respectful, strong-willed (stubborn?) but accommodating, communicative (most times), funny, playful, irreverent, honest with integrity, affectionate and comfortable with intimacy. For me nothing is more spiritual than being out in the wilds of nature, backpacking or hiking in the mountains, the canyons of the Southwest, along the ocean, strolling in old growth forests, frolicking in the Himalayas. I'm a long-time vegetarian and vegan. Long hair, short beard.
