Scary picture eh? Despite this appearance, I am not Rasputin and I have been known to smile (often). Someone pointed out that a picture is important and this is the only recent one that fitted the sites criteria. I do have a beard at the moment but it will probably come off in the winter.
I get up very early to meditate each day. I drink quite a lot of wine too so I'm full of contradictions like most people. I'm generally happy and easygoing, maybe a little lazy. I like women but of course I'm often completely baffled by humans in general. I love sailing and growing vegetables, hillwalking and cycling-did I mention sailing-that has been my lifelong and consuming interest.

I'm a country boy, love animals, own a small farm, or what's left of one. Very honest, loving, caring, romantic & affectionate. If u don't like being smothered with love & affection u won't like me very much. I also collect & polish my own crystals & stones. I do have some cooking skills & enjoy sharing my specialties with people I like. By trade I'm a handyman & I fix things that most people throw away. I'm all into arts & crafts, turning trash into treasure, & if u want it I can probably make it, if u broke an heirloom don't trash it before u talk to me ;) I don't make a lot of $$$ but I have no debts either. I'm into natural healing & have practiced some forms of spiritual healing as well. Have an adult son with whom I am quite close, but we live very separate lives & do not interfere with one another in any way. I do have a couple of pets now that were rescue animals. Lucy, she's a mouse. I rescued her from the bottom of a bucket when she was a little baby, lying on her side with her mouth open & couldn't even close it. Thought she was already dead & dumped the bucket & she wiggled little her feet & something pushed me to bring her in, put a drop of water in her mouth & set her near the fireplace, as she was nearly frozen & dehydrated. She's over 4 yrs old now, the average life of a mouse is only 2. She's content & responsive even tho I can't handle her, but she does take treats from my fingers thru the cage. (Update: Lucy died in October 2014, 2 months before she would've been 5 yrs old. she is missed). Then I have Skeeter, a little fuzzy dog, chihuahua & Cairn terrier. He's really cute & couldn't be much sweeter if he likes u. Came to me cause he didn't like his previous home with a dopehead & thief and wouldn't go home - nearly 10 years ago. I like a bit more freedom to travel than I have with pets, but if u have pets or if u don't that's OK with me, not a deal breaker by any means. Now I have 1 outdoor cat. I wear some leather but it's usually purchased 2nd-hand, so patronizing recycling & re-use, not death. I'm also a passionate dancer & have a wonderful circle of friends at the dances I attended weekly before the pandemic. Been doing karaoke some years & now passionate about singing too ;)

I find it really interesting to experience cultures that are new to me, and to see the differences in how people live and how they act... I have come to realize that here in America, we generally live a much "faster paced" life with less traditions than some of the other cultures I have visited.
Other interests include outdoor interests including hiking, mountain biking, rollerblading, kneeboarding, snow skiing, rock climbing.. I also enjoy researching and learning about subjects that interest me. Im like a sponge and like to soak up information.
Im into reading and self-improvement. Im currently into Gardening and growing my own fruit and vegetables and wild edibles. Ever taste fresh Tamarillo or Magenta Lambs Quarter or Stevia? Delicious! Am kind, compassionate, open-minded, respectful, strong-willed (stubborn?) but accommodating, communicative (most times), funny, playful, irreverent, honest with integrity, affectionate and comfortable with intimacy. For me nothing is more spiritual than being out in the wilds of nature, backpacking or hiking in the mountains, the canyons of the Southwest, along the ocean, strolling in old growth forests, frolicking in the Himalayas. I am vegan, have been since I was 21. It’s important to me that my partner is also vegan, or at least willing to adopt this lifestyle. This simply means that I want my partner to be compassionate and empathetic with loving intentions for himself and everyone else, regardless of the species to which they were born.
Basically, my ideal life would be in a world where everyone is safe and happy. I know that may sound naive but I believe that love is the answer to pretty much everything. If everyone felt safe and loved I don’t see how they could be violent or selfish or unkind in any way. So this is why I’m so frequently ‘accused’ of being an idealist, although this is generally chosen as a word to make me feel less than realistic and therefore somewhat stupid, I always accept the label with happiness:)
I believe we are all connected, and that the majority of humans will awaken to this in my lifetime.
I love animals so much! They are complete love. They don’t hold onto anger or resentment like so many humans seem to do and are so very easy to be around:)
I don’t really have any hobbies, but I do work out and keep myself healthy, strong and fit. I love a good movie and like a very wide range of music. I love to spend time with friends, good conversation is awesome! I love to have fun, and laughter is the very best way I’ve found to do that:)
I work from home, which is wonderful, working in pajamas is so much better than in a suit! Plus the commute is easy:)
