Forget the cliché "I love to travel" line – though I lived in Asia for 12 years and have some pretty wild tales. By day, I'm a software developer making automotive magic happen. Music is important in my life - rarely a day goes by when I don't listen to music of one kind or another - from rock to classical - feel blessed to have grown up in the Beatles era. I love to dance to uplifting stuff ( eg 'The Gypsy Kings ) ,but I love beautiful classical music - my favourite piece is Camille Saint-Saens piano concerto No.2 in G minor - sometimes majestic, sometimes playful ( as in the 2nd movement) ! I had piano lessons as a child and reached a pretty good standard - then 'life' took over , though I'm determined to start playing again.

I'm rather quiet and introverted, so it can be difficult for me to branch out and meet new people. But I've been trying to work on myself and I'd really like to meet more like-minded individuals, talk to people, make friends, and form some meaningful bonds. That sort of deal. Once I get to know someone the whole shyness thing isn't as much of an issue, at least.
I'm pretty laid back in general. I have no problem with just taking it easy and I can be a bit of a homebody. But I do like to get out and travel, sightsee, and do things outdoors. I bicycle quite a bit and have gone for week-long rides. I'm primarily a night person and can stay up till dawn. I also do paddle boarding as I love being around water and if I could I would live by the sea.
I love movies, my favorites being The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou and Princess Mononoke, and I get into a number of TV shows. I'm also a bit of a gamer. I've always been interested in art and I draw and write. I'd like to make a career out of it, but I'm still working to that level.
I'm an animal person for sure and have rescued several cats. I've volunteered with my local animal shelter and I would like to do more to help animals.
