I travel up and down California for my career which I really enjoy. Life is great! What's missing is the right lady to be the light of my life. One and one makes much more than two. Being self-employed, I make my own schedule so I can arrange time for togetherness.

Well-rounded, eclectic and baggage-free describes me well. At any point I have several projects on the go requiring a wide range of skills and aptitudes. I was originally, and still am, qualified as an accountant although, apart from a pro-bono audit of a little Buddhist charity every year, I have not regularly done any accounting for quite some time.
The daily yoga and meditation I practise and everything else I do are spontaneously guided and effortless. Yoga has given me a strong and supple body with a spirit to match that belie my age.
Friends sometimes describe me as slightly eccentric which is taken as a compliment....but I'm not sure that's entirely correct. Certainly I'm healthily unpredictable, acutely intuitive, sometimes non-conformist in a conservative way and a little Machiavellian. On balance I'm probably intellectual with a dry philosophical sense of humour that is never at anyone else's expense. I can be chatty and cheerful while at other times intense and focused.
I prefer intimate one-on-one situations and steer clear of noisy places and crowds. Simple pursuits are more to my liking. I am dedicated to the people around me including allowing them space where space is needed.
I've described myself as a non-drinker as one alcoholic drink per month is about the limit of my enjoyment in that regard....call that what you will.
My style is relaxed and informal and my timeless spirit always shines through. Compliments from women about my eyes and my smile are not uncommon.

I love my coffee black with a shot of espresso, hiking, waterfalls, the crackle of a campfire, stargazing, fuzzy sweaters, kisses from my vegan dogs, photography, art, Moscow mules, spades and Texas Holdem. . . if you can get a card game together send me a message right now! I've been vegan for 11 years. I don't mind spending some time in the kitchen. I love trying out new recipes, but a few standing favorites include: hoisin-mustard tofu lettuce wraps, tofu bahn mi, sweet potato and black bean enchiladas, zucchini malai kofta, roasted Brussels sprouts, and I make a mean tofu scramble. I don't love doing the dishes. :p
Recently I've discovered the joy of living minimalisticly. I've learned that letting go of things that no longer serve me leads to serenity.
I'm a small business owner and I LOVE my profession. It makes me INCREDIBLY HAPPY... but sometimes (mostly seasonally) I work insanely long hours, and I need someone who is understanding of this. I don't see myself relocating my business.
Life is good. :) I have small close group of lifelong friends that are my chosen family. Several of them are vegan who also love to cook, so our gatherings always include lots of vegan food. Together we often enjoy board games, card games, escape rooms, bocce, and campfires.
A few of years ago I met a small group of compassionate people through a mindfulness based meditation group. Together we started a small community giving-garden. It's a project that is close to my heart, and I donate time there at least once a week sometimes more. I love getting my hands in the dirt, learning about gardening, and donating the fruits of our labor to feed the hungry.

As a child, walks in the park with my father lead me understand that animals aren't our playthings. From that, I decided that it was wrong to test on them, but somehow it didn't occur to me to also question eating them. But now I've been (mostly) vegan now for two decades. (I say "mostly" because I still will sometimes have cheese, such as when I'm at a restaurant without dairy-free alternatives.)
I'm fortunate that my career enables me to promote my values while using my sense of curiosity, my impulse for creativity, and my desire to socialize. Because of all that, I tend to be a pretty upbeat and positive person.
I like to explore and learn about new things (especially when they are a bit quirky), so I enjoy museums and architecture tours. But I also enjoy browsing book stores, thrift shops, flea markets -- and casual walks in forest preserves. (Bonus points if if a deer shows up!) For a more low-key form of downtime, I like conversations or snuggling on a couch to watch a movie or TV show. (Some favorite shows: The West Wing, The Newsroom, Downton Abbey, Great British Bake Off.)
