I would like to live 6/12 months in a village in a self-governing pacific island.
every now and again, i investigate where that island might be.
i did live on a self-governing pacific island around 40 with my young son for 5 months. it was blissful except for the tiny biting flies. i had tropical ulcers on my legs. the flies did not affect my son or the locals. c’est la vie. it was blissful because, as the people were not colonised, living as nature intended and still self-governing (each region has a chief), the society was sane. and at peace.
regarding my primary photo of 2018 - i have been ill for more than two years from a hidden mould infestation. six weeks ago - August ‘22, we discovered the mould. and solved the mystery of why i was ill. yes, the mould was under the wooden floorboards - i like to sleep on a sleepmat on the floor. i am still recovering so i am not going to take a new photo yet.
i am learning to be retired. i have been a soil consultant for 7 years, as my second career. when covid lockdowns were enforced, i was managing a 100 acres eco beach farm. maintenance kept me outside and fit. the owner returned to the farm and i was out of a job and home. so i moved to Cairns when i am still residing.
i have no idea how much i weigh.
i am average weight and need to shed some around the midriff and arms.
all during the hidden mould infestation, i was mostly sedentary as i was having trouble breathing.
i am about to sign on to a “find a crew” for daily sails to increase my fitness.
this is the first time i have interacted since signing up.
i possibly will not write for a while. as i am probably not able to give this the attention it needs.
perhaps i will be able to when i regain some fitness.

I 'm kind of a hippy, vegetarian, cowgirl, as I like horses and the outdoor lifestyle (somewhat country, but close enough to a decent health food store). But living in Montana, I have found it a little limited in guys that are interested in eating "really healthy". My favorite pastimes are: Reading (mostly nonfiction, metaphysical, psychology, biographies, etc.),walking, some hiking, bicycling, I'm a little more introverted than extroverted and my friendships run deep. I value all the normal character traits that most of us prize like: honesty, kindness, faithfulness, etc. I have a win/win attitude and like to find that balance where we are both happy with the outcome.

My top mentors start with Jacque Fresco, Claude Diamond, John Rose, Bruce Lipton, and Markus Rothkranz, Robert Kiyoski, sadly Bruce is the only one I've met personally and talked to, and Jacque passed away in 2017 and I missed his 100th birthday, R.I.P the founder of The Venus Project and a starting thinker for a Resource Based Economy.
My priorities are in the following order:

I do tend to stay home mostly, which I enjoy very much. Social outings are fine if the company is good. I am not materialistic, do not wear makeup or am much of a "consumer." That being said I do own a comfortable home with a little property.
Movies/shows/documentaries, walking/hiking and interesting conversations are a few things I enjoy doing. Most often I am found at home because my property has become a mini-sanctuary for several species of birds. Plus I share my home with several rescued cats, all of whom are fosters. I enjoy growing vegetables and fruit too. Very satisfying!
Good conversation is something I truly enjoy. Sadly, it is very difficult to find. I enjoy an exchange of ideas and sharing of philosophies, but people are too sensitive these days and are too easily offended to talk to if our positions differ, especially where I live as an atheist and vegan. I value rational thought and integrity very much.
Spending my time outside with my sanctuary residents and garden is fantastic. Plus it is so beautiful here and the weather is great. All of that being said, I have been taking in fewer rescues over the past few years in an effort to decrease the number in my sanctuary. I want my life to include more freedom and to save more money for my future. The plans for my future include travel to other sanctuaries and conferences. My efforts for animals will change to temporary fostering and transport to allow for this. I am also retired, but that could change if a great job came along or I really needed the money.
My serious side also involves maintaining my health. I earned my living as a pharmacist, but I am actually more of an anti-pharmacist. Prevention and acquiring good habits are the keys to a vital and long life. I worked in hospitals and know that western medicine plays an important role as well.
I take care to make environmentally-friendly choices when I shop and follow reduce/reuse/recycle as much as I can.
I was raised in Brooklyn, NY, lived in NJ and am now living in NM since 2004. The natural open spaces in NM are wonderful to me, but I also appreciate what cities have to offer at times.
Having a partner and a relationship where we really like and know each other, share our thoughts and ideas, care for one another and spend time being silly together would be wonderful!
