I'm attracted to the simpler things in life. Food for example. I dream of food. I'm a voracious eater. I eat nourishing complex foods. I spend lots of time planning, shopping, prepping, cooking and eating delicious yummy foods. I love to entertain my friends (they're my family Stateside). Stimulating conversation and silly banter makes for lots of laughs and a life well lived.
I've never figured out work-life balance as I am my work. I love it but it's hard. On the upside, I'm flexible when it comes to travels.
I travel lightly. My home looks like I just moved in. As I deal in product I don't need much stuff. Easier to stay organized that way.
Putzing around a calm home helps me relax. I read, mess with the cat, take hot baths, drink a cup of tea, light a candle, catch a drama, documentary, Westworld, Indie or a foreign flick. I'm generally in bed early so I can work out the next day. For health and sanity.
I grew up internationally. SF is my home town - having lived here for 25 years - but high on my list is to visit Scandinavia part of the year. My parents are aging and my son lives there. It's a pretty nice place to be from... I would love to see more of the world as well. Searching for the next place to eat, finding street food, following in the footsteps of Haruki Murakami's and absorb the local culture from a cafe chair is good enough for me.

Happy Vegan taking care of 3 dogs whom I rescued and love so much. I also will stop the car if I see a lost dog. Bring him home..bathe him...feed him...make fliers...try to find his guardians. I also match up people who post on craigslist that they lost a dog and another person post the same picture of a dog they found. I love when that happens...of course I have a list of questions and offer recommendations so this does not happen again. Wait here's the thing--if there is a lost dog in my neighborhood...well many times I will just open the front door and there he will be. Dogs just know that my house is where they will find safety and love.
like to stay in more than go out...but once out I'm happy. Dancing is one of my favorite activities and raising global consciousness is amazing.

I love to hike, go for walks, mountain bike. I would love to ski more. I like to do things outdoors and be active, but I have to admit I’m definitely a Netflix Binger as well. I’m pretty middle of the road politically. I used to lean more to the right, but now lean more to the left. I strongly believe in doing what we can to minimize climate change, I’m financially conservative, but definitely not a Trumper. I think he’s crazy dangerous. I spend most of my time in El Paso where i work, but do also own a home in Albuquerque where my 25 yr old twin son and daughter live. He is still in school and she just started a new job. I visit them every few months. I have 28 year old twins as well (believe it or not). She is a nurse in Boston and he is a Naval officer currently stationed in Japan. I go to Boston a couple times a year, and I’m trying to coordinate with my son to go visit Japan. I would love to travel more but work gets in the way. I would like to cut back on work and would be willing to if I had a significant other in my life. In the meantime, I’m just enjoying my job and interacting with my clients and co-workers and visiting my kiddos when I can.

I love art and music, especially live music. I love watching sci-fi, e.g. Star Trek. I have been known to binge watch detective shows as well. I spend a lot of time outdoors. I kayak, hike, bike, birdwatch, and love meeting all my wild neighbors. The year before Covid I took my first surfing lesson. Although I did ride a couple of waves all the way in I mostly practiced falling. I got quite good at it. I was hoping to get back to practice more of the not falling part. But Covid got in the way. Hopefully this year I can try again with the help of a new competent president and vaccines.
I write and advocate for causes I care about and have had some successes. The circus no longer comes to my town, there's a beautiful preserved forest that does NOT have a cell phone tower, there's a large city park where ALL smoking is banned.....
My favorite issues are environmental, animal rights, and those concerning poverty and human rights. I think in another life I must have been a peasant in a peasant uprising.
This might seem odd but for fun I collect trash. My kayak often looks more like a garbage scow as I gather plastics and other trash while kayaking on the river and at the beach. I mostly just find trash but I've found some interesting stuff too, including something the bomb squad had to blow up on the spot. I'm still waiting to find either a briefcase full of half a million dollars of drug money no one claims or a chest of pirate's treasure sticking half out of a sandbar.
I love gardening... for wildlife, for food, for beauty, organically, and with native plants.
I enjoy a variety of things and am always eager to learn new ones. I'm open to suggestions.....
