I have traveled a road that has been filled with many fun days that I thought would never end. I have been in the hospitality industry all my life. Took hotel restaurant management and some business management courses in college. Currently, I am not working post-Covid because I am a full-time caregiver for my elderly parents who are aging in place in the family home a half-hour from my house here in Loudoun County Virginia. My wife and I were best friends, lovers, and she knew me better than I knew me. She was my soul mate. Since we lost the fight against cancer, I have taken grief therapy group meetings until Covid and then Zoom. I took up TMD Transcendental Meditation and it has been a gift from her I feel. It really helps me process my stress and grief. Keeps me grounded and helps me control the emotions of loss and angst. I had finally found my "why". Before I met my wife I was happy being single, was younger, and full of good times and cheer. I met hundreds of interesting people from all walks of life. The experiences and stories could fill up a bookshelf. I outgrew all of that when I shifted into the fine-dining part of the hospitality industry. Money was good, I was independent, started my own IRA, got my wine education, and can sell wine with the "somms" of the world. I had been mentioned for positive reviews in newspapers for great knowledgeable service. I worked in an Italian fine dining restaurant that paid for the down payment on our townhouse. Life was getting better and I was becoming more aware.
I met my wife at the restaurant she was the sister of my co-worker and just came from helping her Mom in Peru who had a stroke. She came back to the states to work as a dental assistant when she started working nights in the coat check. It was an attraction that sprang into love.
Since she passed I went into a shell I did not even think about finding anyone else. And to be honest I am fine if I do not. But as I come to a crossroads in my recovery, I feel it's important to reconnect with the outside world. To find my new journey. That's all the more meaningful as I am giving my two elderly Parkinsons riddled parents in-home care because of Covid and my Mom's fear of nursing homes. So that's a peak. I have nothing to hide and all to gain.

Trained as an engineer and a filmmaker in India and the United States. Changed a few hats professionally working in film, tv, real estate development, investigative journalism and grassroots animal welfare to discover the writer in me.
Now returning to the arts to heal my soul. Writing books and setting up a vegan publishing house.
Veganism, Sufism and Tantra are the three precious gifts life has bestowed upon me. Other interests include history, philosophy, psychology, alternative healthcare, mythology, sustainable living, music, fitness, mountains, trees, treks, waterfalls, road trips and all things magic.
Winding up a business in India to start a life of more conscious service and travels and here to find someone who would also like to do the same. The idea is to live more and more by guidance, travel but also find a vibrantly vegan spot to grow some roots. Long-term vision is to start an international chain of vegan community living projects.
Having a home in two different places in the world has always felt right to me. Not scared of distance or diversity. In fact, having a partner form a different cultural background can be a window into another world full of unique and beautiful perspectives which we might otherwise miss out on in our lives. Looking for a mix of some primal chemistry and long-term commitment to create a family with and put both of our dreams together brick by brick.
Very capable of socializing when I have to but really on the calmer side of life now and loving it. It would be nice to share that with you. If I've made myself sound too boring then yes I do have a more fun and slightly wild streak in me too. I am now saving that for my partner in crime. I love gardening, writing, massage, cooking, and travel. Some of my favorite outings include gardens (especially in Maui!), live theater, theme parks, museums, and art shows. My mornings start out with some meditation, breathing exercises, Qi Gong, then a workout. I love creating things, whether it be digital or something eye-catching for the garden. I have a Master of Arts degree in Mathematics and one in Educational Technology. I fully retired from teaching in 2020. I’m the author of 12 books and manuals, mostly on computer-related topics.
I spend a lot of my time improving my garden when not out and about. It's a tranquil retreat with plenty of fruit trees, garden beds, and a hydroponic tower. There is also a tea house, a flowing stream, and plenty of seating areas.
I am passionate about promoting a plant-strong lifestyle through writing, hosting pot lucks, and networking. I discovered this way of eating in 2012, and it has given me a new lease on my health. I believe strongly that our society needs to move in that direction if we are to cure our chronic diseases, protect our environment, and reduce animal suffering.
